Hi abmar,

laptops usually come with pre-installed OS! why didn't you use the OEM version?

no, M$ didn't install anything wicked in your system. it's just that the OEM is pre-configured at the factory to work with your laptop's hardware. the original OS automatically remembers and recognizes all your drives, ports, etc., whereas the pirated OS doesn't. that's the source of your problem. my friend reformatted his laptop with a pirated software and his DVD drive was reduced to a CD drive. it's not a good price for using illegal software.

of course, those questions are spilled milk.

the short answer is: if your laptop is a recent purchase, it is still under warranty. take it back to the vendor and ask for their help.

HTH!

The registry file is gone from the harddrive, because of an update which you have installed from Microsoft, the defender in your system Identifyed your OS as illegal.

All your installations are gone, all your drivers, the bios and so on... all erased by a "Keylogger" who is a person, a human bein taking care of such problems for Microsoft.Keyloggers are known also from other kind of software installations which you made online, and they can also give you false informations about what has happened and why, and say that it was Microsoft who did it. Spam or Scam or I don´t know what they called... making fun out of you, and making you believe that you are doing something illegal. Now you can not just change the OS, but must erase the harddrive before you make a new boot, if you don´t, the same thing will happen real soon. You will never found out who did it, and worthless to look for him or her.I found some of them before on MSN but they can be found just about anywhere else on the web. They found you, though your location is registered somewhere near that area where you are connected from, on the Local Area Network, and from a laptop sending you the same programs which later on aloud the keylogger to crash your system easy as 1-2-3, when you are not at the computer, but logged in online.

What you can do is, you change the OS, and use another kind, with another key, and also do not forget to erase the drive. I mean if you had XP Professional SP2 before for example, you found a dvd like XP SP3 which is not the same XP as you had, maybe will have better luck next time. Well, I wouldn´t experiment like you, but if you have time it´s good hobby too.

Wish you luck anyway´s!
