forging of steel increase the density of steel. Is it true?

Why should forging increase the density ? Does it change the mass (no) volume ? (not significant)

For all practical purposes it may not increase (in fact in some cases it may even decrease the density- in steel)

Exact increas, decrease (both negligible) will depend on the microstructure before and after.
