Footing for a Metal Sheet Cutting Machine

Dear all,

I hv a 13 ton (5 ton + 8 ton metal coil) floor standing metal sheet cutting machine with size of 2m lenght x 8m width x 2m height. with 6 support I beam at machine.

Pls advise how to the correct footing in order to installa this machine without any problem. Example : how depth the hard core , concrete grade , steel bar size and how thick the concrete floor slap.

This is NOT a question you should ask here, you should get this information from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) as there are too many variables. Such as isolation pads, the tolerances you expect the machine to hold... and so on and so forth.

I've seen some machines not as big as yours that required over 6 feet (dept) of concrete and an isolation pad.

exactly what I had in mind, Labyguy! GA there.

even a civil engineer can at best only guess at an answer. the OEM is the best source for this.
