40 MVA 132/22kV Substations

Approximately, how many Secondary 2MVA 22/0.415 kV substations can be connected to a 40 MVA 132/22 kV Primary Substations?

Without having load and demand information, this is an impossible question to answer and any answer is nothing more then a guess.

You need to design this system based on the load you need to provide for.

Dear Friend,

40MVA 132/22kV substation came up with definite analysis, demand and connected loads. Check the LV, which required 415V and below.

* Make LV load analysis based on LV demand and connected loads.

* From here, you can sum up all LV loads, then convert this to kVA or MVA

* Once you have this, divide this to 2MVA, whatever the result(s), then "YOU HAVE THE NUMBER OF 2MVA SECONDARY XFMR.

Since this is a hypothetical question, then not more than 20 secondary s- stations due to the power equation. However this is to be determined by potential drops owing to supplying close to load centres and conductor length/type as this leads to power losses.
