Help With Respirator

03/30/2009 5:08 PM

I have a repsirator mask that I use for sandblasting; well the front lens is coming undone so the sand is coming in. I would like to know if there is anyway to fix this permanently or if I am out of luck and need to buy a whole new respirator mask.

So, you've done nothing to keep the sand out?

Not even duct tape?

What kind of sand blaster are you?

This could spur the invention of optically clear duct tape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, which is cheaper, a new mask or silicosis?

By the way, I know a few people that have contracted that and it is a horrible way to die.

The way I look at it is that your mask and fresh air supply is life-critical equipment. If yopu don't replace it you will be out of luck.
