My initial reaction is that ride would be painful and handling virtually non-existant. But yeah - cool in a straight line for short distances, moving slowly. Like down to the end of the driveway. Not sure how you'd turn it around to pull back into the garage though.

Despite having some of the same concerns as guest...

anything with treads/tracks is inherently cool.

Yeah, that was a great piece over in the Hemmings Blog. Who knew that these things weren't new?

They probably go like tanks. After all, they are built like tanks, and look like tanks.

Blowing out a tire (tyre) at 65 MPH is never a good thing. Dropping your track and having it jam with no way to steer seems awful scary! Metal doesn't have much grip on asphalt. Might be fun on dirt though!

if they would make it similar to a Christie suspension

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christie_suspension

then losing the track would not be to problematic, i like the design.

no problems with punctured tires!

Perfect for a military scout unit, silent engine or electrical, ad some kind off weapon on it, tada Delta force strike vehicle
