Speaking of Textiles

An Australian digital artist has developed a computer software program that translates frequencies in the human voice into spiral patterns. Artist Pierre Proske believes these voiceprints might serve as patterns for textile design. Proske notes that some of the designs produced by his program are reminiscent of traditional elements in Japanese textiles.

Isn't it like those animations on Winamp or WMP? They have different patterns according to the frequencies in the music (and their changes).
