Solenoid Valve with Metering Screw

04/06/2009 4:39 PM

Hello,

I am looking for a Solenoid valve that has a metering screw on it. Its a Normally Closed (NC) valve, two way valve 1/4" or 3/8" female threads. 110V power to it.

The one that i could find was from Kip INC. here is the website with all the info on the valve:

http://www.dultmeier.com/products/0.689.2209/2360

Part # i am looking at is 3X529-10.

They are giving me a 4 week wait time but i need this faster then 4 weeks. Does any one know where i can get something like this in North America.

Thanks

Mustafa

If you want something quick, why not separate the valve and metering functions?

As stated above, using a separate metering screw assembly attached to a solenoid valve would make it easier. What is being metered through it?

ARO Alpha makes this design valve, plus a few others that might work. Clippard, and Red Hat are other brands I remember of this design.

Think, my good man, think.

The one you want is 110 volt.

They have a 110 V valve with no metering valve under part # K1359015-10, and they have a 24 V with the metering valve built in to it, with # K13X293.

Buy both of those valves, which they show as in stock. Change the coils and you will have a 110 V with metering valve, and a 24 V without metering valve.

Good luck to you.

if the 24 v is DC then the core tube would also have to changed out as DC and AC core tubes are different.

THanks to all of those who replied...

John DG: I cannot seperate the flow control valve (metering screw) from the Solenoid as this is for a pressurized system.
This valve needs to be open .25" when NC so some water could go through it and also cause back pressure for the
RO membranes to produce water.

Bob C: Water is being metered through it and thanks for the supplier list, i will contact them today and as for me thinking
dont worry, i always think before i act. I called them to ask them if the coils are interchangable. They told me not
its not, but thanks anyways.
