We are planning to purchase a 4200kW /50Hz Diesel Generator for continuous duty power generation application. I checked the emission regulations imposed by US – EPA and European Union for Non-road and Stationary Emissions Regulations.
1.) As per my understanding of US – EPA Tier 4 (2011-2014), Generator sets > 900kW need to comply with 3.5 CO, 0.40 NMHC, 0.67 NOx, 0.10 PM (measured in g/kWh). Is this the limit which applies to my requirement of 4200kW genset? Just want to verify my understanding is correct.
2.) Why EU Stationary Emissions Regulation limited to generator capacities to 560kW? (or is my understanding is wrong?) What are the exhaust emissions limitations for 4200kW size generator as per EU regulation?
3.) Can somebody advise how to convert g/kWh to mg/Nm3 ? (Data sheets of CAT uses mg/Nm3 and Cummins uses g/kWh)
