SiO2 Purification and Tetrachloride Reclamation

04/07/2009 6:57 PM

I have venture capital for SIO2 purfication facility for processing in Jiangsu, China. I need someone that knows process from start to finish. I need purfication to 7N and doped. Person needs to know how to reclaim tetrachloride.

For PhotoVoltaic.

Thanks,

Chris

At 4X the mass of silicon produced, of tetrachloride, you bet they do!

I guess it may be in Wuxi, Jiangsu.

Why not ask Chiese chemical industrial research institution for help?

there are such organizes in Shanghai, Nanjing and Beijing. where sh, nj is close to Wuxi.

if you need more information. pm

Why 7N?

Photovoltaic needs are much less stringent!

Solar silicon is cheaper than semi conductor silicon. It is not silica but silicon metal. Purification process of silicon is based on starting raw materials used and if you are not producing semi conductor grade then only you need the silicon to be clean to the depth few time of the p/n junction from the surface

At initial stage of solar development was done based on pushing the substrate wafer impurities which was mainly iron, chrom and nickel inside the body of the wafer and then spin coating with phosphor and developing p/n junction of conversion of phton to electron.

Know there are many method available to clean and is based on your starting material. My understanding is you are starting from silicon tetra chloride as starting material.

Do you know the purity of silicon tetra chloride as starting batch amterial as well as what different contaminents you have and then you can decide distilation process to make it cleaner and of higher purity and stop when it meets desired white paper spec of the solar wafer you have.

There is easire and other process know availabel and that is instead of having this high expense one can do

1. Take cheap window glass.

2. Ion exchange strengthing of the glass to block sodium migration

3. Coating that with Silica

4. Reducing silica to silicon

0r

3 coating this with silicon tetra chloride after purification

4. Reduction of silicon tetra chloride to silicon

5. Coating with boron and diffusing boron in front and back

6. Coating with phosphor and development of p/n junction

or

3. one can do using chemcial vapor deposition of silicon and boron on glass

4. Coating with phophor and develop p/n junction

5. USe this to print titanium paste followed by front silver and cofire

6. Print aluminum and fired all together if you have ability

7. Your cell is fabricated.

8. You need to connect all silver line using ribbon to move electron to source

Your question reads more like you are looking for a job applicant than you are looking for an answer to a technical question. If this is the case I would recommend posting the job in a different place because typically this forum is for "eggheads" looking to gain knowledge and not employment.
