Breaking News: Children's Tylenol Recall

06/03/2005 1:49 PM

Please check your medicine cabinets! McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals is voluntarily recalling all lots and all flavors of 80-milligram Children's Tylenol Meltaways packaged in bottles and blisters, 80-milligram Children's Tylenol SoftChews packaged in blisters, and 160-milligram Jr. Tylenol Meltaways packaged in blisters. The recall was triggered by concerns that blister packs containing two pills in each compartment would lead some consumers to believe that the two tablets contained a total of 80 milligrams of acetaminophen; each tablet contains 80 milligrams.

Labeling

06/06/2005 8:54 AM

How can such a large company with such obvious safeguards and reviews mess something like this up? I admit that the label isn't wrong, technically, but I can see where there could be some confusion. I wonder what they will do with the recalled products.
