Is there any replacement for PU(polyurethene) Foam in car seatings which will pass the flammability test?

if yes, i would like to know whether it is cost effective and also whether it is used in any vehicle in production.

please post any links or documents if available.

thks,

The 'green' product you recommend is a polyurethane, but with soy-based rather than petrol-based polyol. Perhaps a polystyrene or polypropylene foam would pass the flammibility requirements, but I'm not sure they have the physical properties required for the application.

Rubberised coir...a cheaper option too provided you are prepared to make a small sacrifice on comfort!
