Three Saddle Design for Horizontal Pressure Vessels

04/16/2009 8:10 AM

I am interested in knowing if there is a way to design for more than (2) saddles on a large horizontal pressure vessel? Specifically I have an old vessel with (2) saddles which fails in buckling and stresses at the horn of the saddles using Zick design.

Hi,

Could you introduce a standard which has mentioned something about three saddles design?
