Alternatives for Stainless Steel Kitchen

Hi! Could you help me identify the recommendable alternatives for stainless steel in using in the kitchen for butchers. Thanks.

For those with plenty of money, Phosphor Bronze is real pretty, looks like pink copper, and takes a lovely shine. But why do you think you can improve on SS? Maybe some kind of ceramic? Pyrex glass? Or maybe that new glass that bounces. (Anyone know the name of that stuff?)

Should we infer from your question that you mean cheaper, "recommendable alternatives"?

for what surfaces?

For residential appliances, brushed nickel seems to be the latest craze. Doesn't show fingerprints, etc.
