Timoshenk beam element

04/20/2009 11:38 PM

I am doing my project in Multibody dynamics area, where I am using 3 dimensional 2 node Timoshenko beam element to modeling my mechanism. I am writing code in MATLAB where I am not having "stiffness matrix for the 3 dimesional 2 node timoshenko beam element".Can any one help me out by giving matrix??.

Thanks for immediate reply, but i am having that paper, in that paper i found the following error

1. Two differnent equation given for matrix component k7,7.

2. Some of the matrix componets is missing, like k2,4, k2,10, k3,4 , k3,10 , etc. But in that paper, it is given as zero.

and important thing is I compared with ANSYS timosheko beam element (BEAM 188) stifness matrix, this matrix have lot of deviation.

Is any other resoures ?

Thanks again.
