d.c motor starter

hi,

i am required to produce a technical report for a d.c faceplate starter or a tap charger as some people know it.

i must write 500 words in detail about the NEED FOR and OPERATION of the above. i also require to have a reference to show where a got my information from.

i will be extremely grateful if you can help me with the above.

that is not help

i require data sheets or web sites containing the information that must be in my technical report.

i am to supply this to a customer not for personal use.

so useless and frankly rude comment like that are not needed please only write if you are willing to help

i have tried many different methods of finding the information but can not find anything of great detail hence why i am trying this .

i am rushed for time and have a busy schedule so please only comment if you have relevant information

Please define "technical report", it could mean just about anything, and the way you have asked it indicates a homework or job interview question.

Please provide more information, as this really sounds like a homework question.
