Cold Fusion: This Time We Mean It!

06/06/2005 10:12 AM

The Christian Science Monitor is reporting that a group of scientists at the University of Los Angeles have initiated cold fusion...Yeah, I know, we've heard this before, but the CSM uses the word reputable in the article ("very reputable, very careful" to be exact). Real or not, it's an interesting read, especially the use of pyroelectric crystals as the medium for fusion.

Future bound

Interesting way of forcing fusion. It looks like they just need to find a way of generating heat for free and the process will produce the energy for "free". Might not be much, a good steam engine can create more power.
Still it's a big step towards the future.
