Using Windows (XP pro)...would like to correspond electronically with person using Mac... Part of the correspondence (and ongoing project) would entail attaching documents created in MS Office (2003...later), in particular: Word...possibly Excel (2003...). Would further like to use (to bounce back and forth developing documentation and legal matters using) the Comments (insertion/review/approve/reject/incorporation) and/or the Version-file-save features within the Office applications. The planning objective over time is to develop and reach intra-familial consensus on estate, advance directive, probate and similar dispositions.
The uncertainty is: how well, if at all, can attachment documents created in and sent from Windows (Office) environment be "handled" and responded to by an e-recipient using Mac OS? To the degree, if any, that this might not be feasible with an unmodified Mac system....what software tools or applications might be obtained (at modest to zero price & expense) which would permit reliable, attached-Office-document exchanges (and commentary) as described above. Or, conversely, what Window's ehancements....would work?
Thanks for any experienced-based advice and resources you can offer. Have searched the CR4 site but been unsuccessful at finding anything of this nature.
