I just had a most rewarding experience with a company that I have to share with someone. The company in question was Country Home Products, Inc., and the issue I had was with a DR Field and Brush Mower that had been purchased by someone else and shipped to one of my clients out in the middle of the jungle in Panama- I have no idea when, or whether the unit had been registered for warranty when purchased or not. The information I needed was not readily available on line, so I tried their "Live Chat". The whole process took maybe five minutes over a very slow internet connection, and in less than 10 minutes, I had the information I needed, although it had to be relayed through two offices between the company and my location. It took less than 2 hours to get the information in my hands. The customer service people were friendly, helpful and surprisingly knowledgable- since I did not have a model number, they used the serial number to locate the original sales record to determine exactly what I needed. Why can't ALL companies respond so well? I want to shout to the roof tops, Yes, Virginia, Customer Service still exists! And there is at least one company out there doing it right.
