Can some 1 plz explain ,Hows does the concept of Push Down to Close (Air Fail Close) Works For Rotary Valves

Rotary AOV's, air operated valves (!/4 turn valves such as butterfly, ball, plug, etc,) use to be operated by piston type actuators rather than diaphragm ones, the the piston and spring must be arranged such that when air supply fails, the spring close the valve.
