Designing an Earth Mat

Can you send a typical design of an earth mat for a system of 415 V , 3 phase , 50 HZ- Transformer capacity 500 KVA IS 3043 mentions earth matting but does not contain design particulars

Dear,

As per my knowledge, Earth matting for such a small installation of 500kva, where are the fault levels do not exceed more then 200 MVA, may not be strictly needed.

This will be applicable above the installations of 5 MVA wherein , step voltage during faults exceed the safe limits say 750 V with skin resistance of 25 K Ohms.

go to relevent IEC standard for design.for 415v system,earth mat is not neccessary,but standard flat,electrode shall be disign as per your soil resistivity.
