How to Weld Squirrel Cage Motor Rotor Bars

i want to know how i can welding the squirrel cage motor rotor bars and what machines rquired for that

It depends on what you have. Some are brazed, meaning gas welding, some are MIG welded. If they are cast-in-place rotor bars, you will not likely be able to effectively re-weld them.

But if you have to ask this question, you are not likely to be qualified to do this on your own. This is a very specialized skill that requires knowledge of the way the metal expands, cools and welds. By virtue of the fact that you are asking, it denotes that you do not likely possess this knowledge either. You would be better off taking it to a seasoned professional.

More info pl.Whether rotor is die cast al or copper in which case the above will not arise..So assuming its copper bars size makes the process different.better send it back to the manufacturer or order a spare rotor
