05/04/2009 4:45 PM

dear CR4 ,

my name is sansay samuel, iam electrical engineer and at present iam working in design and controls i need your help, i want to know how to calculate the voltage drop across the transformer , i want the steps and formulaes to calculate the heat dissipation and to select proper sizing of the enclosure give an example for this to beeter understand thanking you..

DEAR<

volt drop may not help you to calculate the heat dissipation.

Fixed magnetic losses * & Copper load losses I2R shall be able to help you to find out the heat dissipation & temperature rise etc...

Any way,

VOLT DROP IN TR> = E - Z*Ir

% regulation = (E - Z * Ir)/E

offcourse voltage drop is a different factor than heat dissipation ,just i was asking you to provide for the selection of heater or thermostat to be sized according to heat dissipation thanking you for the formulaes u gave waiting for this ...
