There are some automated (flash) tools I think you can use over at heatweb.com

P.S. They suddenly have something installed irritates my virus detector

guest,

you'll have to determined that, as in what about the exit pump size, how long the surge lasts, whats exceptable, does the product change states when sitting in the surge tank.

wish I could be of more help.

That is correct - the answer depends on a lot of process information that the questioner has not provided/does not know.

Exit pipe of the surge tank is 2 1/2" pipe and theirs no change of state. It will last only for 10 minutes.......... Do you have the formula to do it on my own?

So ................. is it this simple?

(10 mins)(44 gpm) = 440 gallon tank required.

What am I missing here? Do you already have a surge tank? Because you said the exit pipe from it is 2-1/2".

What exactly is going on here?

What is your system/pump feeding?
