Pro/Engineer

Hello guys. I have an odd request to make here today.

I have to make an assembly of different parts that are made up of ~40 DIFFERENT features. I am not really good at Pro/E. I was wondering if you guys know any site that provides tutorials on how to make complex parts and assemble it step by step. I would like to learn from it and create something cool (thinking about making a PC case).

Thank you

Can you give us a little more info.

1. What version of ProE are you on?

2. Do you have any 3D experience on other programs?

3. Do you have any 2D experience?

4. Are you the only person at this facility that is making CAD models?

5. Is this work for a company or schooling or self interests?

If you're just learning 3D cad modeling, there are other 3D packages that are easier to use and learn. But if this is the only 3D package you have access to...

In talking to people that have 3D training with Unigraphics, they didn't like the tutorial very well. They still needed to ask a lot of questions.

Even switching from SolidWorks to ProE Wildfire 3 required asking a lot of questions.

Can you give us a little more info? Sure. 1. What version of ProE are you on? Widfire 3 or 4 2. Do you have any 3D experience on other programs? Not really 3. Do you have any 2D experience? Photoshop... 4. Are you the only person at this facility that is making CAD models? Umm, I am a student. 5. Is this work for a company or schooling or self interests? Schooling. I need to create some kind of assembly that uses ~40 Different features in parts. I am taking this class as an elective because I wanted to learn how to create parts and assembly in 3d... the professional way. Thank you

Why don't you go to the Pro/E website and do their tutorial. If you have a registered copy, they will provide support.

Otherwise look on the internet for free programs.
