If you need practice exam questions and answers, it sounds like you are not ready to take the test. If you haven't developed the required knowledge so as to be inherent, you will be prone to making mistakes that could threaten lives. Once you study/apprentice to the point where you can deal with a situation with confidence and authority, then you are ready for the test. Memorizing the answers is not the best way.

Hi.

As the author of the study guide available at www.millwrightstudyguide.com, I have to take exception to the previous post. Just because you are looking for trade study assistance does not in anyway indicate a lack of skill or knowledge, or not being ready to challenge the trade exam. As there is an absolutely insane amount of skill required and knowledge covered in the millwright trade, it can be overwhelming when it comes to studying for the exam.

The purpose of the guide is not to have someone memorize answers in hopes of passing and obtaining a millwright red seal license, but to take some of the mystery out of what exact ares to focus on.

It is also worth noting that some people become very nervous in this type of a testing environment. Does this mean they should never receive a trade license? I don't think so. Remember, no matter what you do, asking for assistance shouldn't be considered a sign of weakness. On the contrary, it is the opposite. It shows a desire to be well prepared and ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.

You are not expected to learn everything during your apprenticeship but to have a good foundation. There is nothing wrong with trying to search for more information to have all your bases covered. This industry has too many smart alec people like you stopping people from learning more and testing their knowledge for themselves.

Nope there is nothing. Even if you take a course in college and pay a lot of $$ for it it is no guarantee that you pass the exam. Best thing is go and become an engeneer and write the test.

Hi I ordered the millwright study guide and found it very useful. The questions and answers simply give you an idea of your weak points so you can research and study those areas and strengthen your knowledge. ( Nobody knows everything but the more you learn, the less mistakes you will make :) My question is if anyone wrote the test recently , are the formulas & calculations in Metric and,or what, other than diagrams are in the extra booklet they give you, aside from the question book and answer sheet?

Just don't want to memorize things I don't need to:)

Twice. If He fails both , then I think he has to take a refresher course before he can write again

Hello I have purchased the Millwright manual that has 23 chapters, and also the Millwright Mech-801, this mech-801 is a course in Canada Humber college. I have been active in maintenance mechanical and machine build / Fitting for over 10 years. Took the exam 4 years ago and got a 64%.

Found the exam questions to be prepared as though by a lawyer.

What I am wondering, do you set up a refresher test in such manner for practice of a exam format. I would look forward to such and not looking for answers to the questions. Also note that in my years of work, I was not involved with hands on of all points of Millwright course e.g. never touched or been near a Turbine system of any type. If possible to set me in the direction of obtaining such info thanks , r.rsmith29@yahoo.ca

Sincerely

Robin Smith

Hey

I am looking for site where I could download free millwright study guide, or I would like to borrow from somebody. I have about 1100 questions off ExamBank.com. I am willing to trade.

Hi I offer a prep. Course where I cover all of the areas of this test. One on one tutoring until you pass for a one time fee. I have taught all levels of the millwright course. I have been licensed for almost 30 years and taught for over 12. All of my students are successful if they follow my instruction. The test is very tricky.

You leave with a study kit of questions and my support until you pass.
