Increased Switching Times for VCBs

dear all i am working in shortcircuit lab. is there any method to increase operating time of vcbs beacouse short circuit current is set by switching this bkrs within very less operating time and as fast as possible.

so pls suggest any method to operat vcbs within set time duration.

Are there any relays for switching?The vcb switching will be controlled by relays so if you disable those relays the vcb should not trip.howeverthe vcb could be of current limiting type wherein you will have to increase the spring pressure

Relays are electromechanical devices that use an electromagnet to work a pair of movable contacts from an open position to a closed position. Benefit of relays is that, it takes a relatively small amount of power to operate the relay coil, but the relay itself can be used to control motors. Vacuum circuit breaker switching in medium voltage networks with photovoltaic panels.
