Who Makes the Aluminum Pocket Oiler?

05/13/2009 7:10 PM

I need to source 1000 EMPTY units of the "aluminum pocket oiler" shown in the linked picture. I have found dozens of distributors and they all have exactly the same product and they all have it pre-filled with oil. I need this as a dispenser for an entirely different fluid purpose.

I've been at this for weeks with no luck, can someone help me find the manufacturer?

Does anyone have suggestions on how I can find the manufacturer?

Thank you. --Dane

Dane:

Does it need to be a this exact same design or are you looking for functionality?

I found a number of different variations of the devices some with different materials.

Do you dispense the liquid via capillary act or do you actively dispense the liquid?

Form and functionality are the critical elements. I already have sources for the plastic pen droppers. This needs to be an upscale looking and feeling pen-like fluid dropper. Informally, I call it the Mont blanc version. Hence why the aluminum dropper is so perfect. I am open to other materials, composites, even plastic provided it has the look and feel of something you could clip into your suite jacket. This right type of fountain pen might also do the job...if one existed at the right price.

This dropper is the dispensing device for a fluid solution that is currently in a patent process so I can't describe it except to say that it is an organic preservative which is why it needs to be empty.

If you have any ideas, I would be glad to discuss them with you. You can send me your contact info at maralason1@yahoo.com. Our website will be up in about 6 weeks at which time I'll be able to provide a corporate email address.

Thank you.

Hi Dane,

If the organic preservative is used in a food application and requiring food authority compliance will the oiler need to undergo a temperature related clean before filling.

Or how about a Mont Blanc style with an insertable (and pierced on insertion) cartridge of product?

In situations like this I've directly to the largest distributor, (in this case General but Harbor Freight is friendly also), and ask for a bid for what you want, on the other hand, buy one some times the mfgr is printed on it.

Dane,

Try the Taiwanese manufacturer http://www.handytwins.com/index2.php or he might have a customer closer to your home if the quantity is a little less than his norm -Good luck, Bob.

True!! I'm actually getting a sample from HandyTwins. I just don't know if they are the actual manufacturer or simply a distributer. I'm trying to find the manufacturer. Thank you! --Dane

Interesting challenge.

So far I have found one vendor, but it seems pricey. Then again, at 1000 pcs you might get a good discount.

Bottom of 2nd page:

I'll keep looking around.

Good find, but you're right, very pricey. I have found the source for most of the plastic oilers. The best source is http://www.phoenixbottles.com/index.htm

HOWEVER, they have no clue who make the aluminum oiler.

Any other sourcing ideas are truly appreciated.

Thank you. --Dane
