If the cable length is < 100 mtr, then 31/2 core * 70 sq mm Aluminium cable shall be sufficient. for heating & un balanced loads, you may go for 4 core cable.

Harry

How can you make this statement when the poster has provided no information?

42.3 kwh tells you nothing.

42.3 kwh means 42.3 kW(max) load for 1 hr.....it cannot be like 21.5kw load for 2 hr...........its simple.

Why not? It could be 42.3 watts for 1000 hrs. That the problem. You do not know. Since you do not know for sure, kwh is of no value. You need the calculated KW or KVA load to determine the correct wire size.

I do not understand the statement you are making. Information provided by the questioner is within his knowledge, & seems to be a user. not necessarily the Electrical professional. What guidance I have provided is sufficient to be applied as per his needs.

If you have specific doubt on the information given by me, pl. forward on the forum for discussions. Attempt will be made to solve your queries.

Harry

The poster gave you 42.3 kwh. From this information how did you calculate the load to determine the cable size? You do not know the voltage, 3 phase or single phase, nor do you know the load. how did you determine you answer?
