Panel Design Doubts

05/22/2009 6:16 AM

Hi All,

I have some doubt with my design, so I need to clarify with you.

How to select OLR, MCCB, MCB & cable for motors.....

If DOL, Star Delta & VFD types.......

I am always choose MCB & MCCB = FLC*1.75 times

OLR = FLC *1.25 times.

If I am wrong pls highlight my mistakes... and also pls teach your experience for me......

And I am searching "Electical design" book. if any one know about this pls tell me...

--------------

Thanks

Dasan

dear dasan,

about OLR design u taken FLC*1.25 times, but it is wrong practice, if we use OLR then OLR relay range must match with FLC and Range is such choose that ie if FLC is 12A then OLR relay range should be 9 to 15 Amps. not 7.5 to 12.5Amps.
