Fuse Classes

The fuses are classified as Class J, RK1, RK5, T, L etc. What is the basis of this classification? I appreciate your answer.

Two basic parameters: Max. interrupting capacity amd time curve.

eg. : RK 1 is faster then RK 5, but both have the same high interrupting rating.

(R is for rejection, these fit in special holders which reject standard cartridges

which might have lower interrupting ratings.

For the rest, go to the catalogues. Bussman is good.
