Have you read the manual and looked at the information available on the Allen-Bradley web site? This should be the first place you should look for this answer. If you have and the answer is not there then that's a different story however, if you haven't then you should look.
Thanks mr.Vulcan. i tried to communicate with device from my pc through parallel port. i have the software. but i do not know how to upload the software.
From my view the software has corrupt. if reinstall the software it may solve the problem
There is no Parallel port conection that I know of. Either use the serial or ethernet ports to connect to the PV+. If you use the ethernet port be sure to set up the comms, IP addresses, etc.
In RSView studio, be sure that you have set up RSLinx Enterprise. If this is the first time the PV+ has been used, be sure that the firmware matches the version of RSView Studio (version 3 or 4) or FTView Studio (version 5).
Once you have created the MER file, use the transfer utility to move it to the PV+.
And as mentioned above by others, go to the Rockwell site as they have examples and literaure to help, along with the knowledge base.
Thanks mr.tooz. sorry i metioned it wrong. that is serial port. i do not know how to enter into configuration mode. one of my friend advised me to download the software from working pv+ and upload the software into faulty pv+. is it work?
An easy way to create a copy of the runtime file for a backup is to save it to a CompactFlash Card using the CompactFlash port located on the back of the PV+. You can get "small (2GB)" flash card for less than $20 that can easily store hundreds of runtime files.
Simply plug the card into the port, then go to the PV's configuration menu. The Configuration Menu should be accessible from somewhere in the project using a button labeled something like "Shutdown Panelview" or "Panelview Configuration." After you exit the project you see a gray screen with a fairly long list of options. Look for and select "File Management," then "Save to Card."
If the firmware on your PV+ is version 5.0, then the uploaded runtime file (*.mer) can be converted to the file type that can be edited (*.apa). If your firmware is a version older than 5.0, then you will not be able to edit the file, but you can load it back into the PV in the event that the PV's memory is somehow erased. (You can determine the firmware rev of you PV+ from the Configuration Menu.)
Good Luck.

Thanks so much, i got the answer from your message. but i do not know where is that button(enter into configuration mode). i have checked backside of the pv+ only reset button is there. can you tell me where is that button.
It is not a physical button, it is a touchscreen pushbutton. Most programmers either put it on the "Main Screen" or make a screen called, "Maintenance" or "Trouble-shooting" and place it there.
If you can't find a programmed config button then there is a "back door." Press the reset button on the back of the PV+ and watch the screen as it starts up. At some point during the power-up a small white square will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Tap the square a few times and it will take you to configuration mode.
Be sure to find out what firmware revision level the PV+ has in it (3.2, 4.0, 5.0) from the Config Mode - this is very important information. If you download a program that is of a different rev level into the PV+, then the PV+ will not run your program.
