Exhaust Fan Flexible Joint for Perchloric Acid Exhaust System

05/24/2009 11:03 PM

Dear Chemical & Material Experts,

We have an issue on what type of exhaust fan flexible joint which is more suitable for the perchloric acid exhaust application.

As far as we know this perchloric acid can react with organic material, an explosive reaction product may be formed.

The following proposed flexible joint materials are

1) Neoprene coated polyester fabric.

2) Silicone rubber coated woven fiberglass.

3) Vinyl.

Please advise.
