Questions and Questioners

05/29/2009 4:02 PM

I'm really wondered for a lot of questions asked by some members and opens the door for a good and useful dissections in a different fields. For some lack in information's, the other member's starts to ask original inquiring for some additional information which assists to solve his problem. But no any reply from original inquiring side.

They just throw their issue and leaving the yard. They didn't gain accurate reply for their question.

My question why they ask, why they doesn't reply, if you don't interest for answer what do you expect from others

Do you observe this as usually happening with Guests? One of the problems with being a Guest is that you can't subscribe to threads - so, you never know if you got an answer (unless you come to check).

But, being a Guest IS good for anonymity.

To all you "Guest" posters. Please use a real Screen name or a "Guest #1", "Guest #98" "Guest #3092" etc. and also fill in your years of experience, background and general location (country).

This way you can still keep your anonymity but you can get notice of a response.

This works for both of us. When I answer your question I will at least have an idea of the type of person I am "Talking" to.

Right you are.

The keepers should hang a Guest # on them and then send them responses.

Or, maybe we're better off without them.

Khairy Aish We tend to have a class of members with their own agenda and they have no respect for the needs of others. They tend to reply to every thread without any intention of helping anyone. If you look at the number of post they have accumulated you can see what that agenda is. They have some idea that the larger that number the more valuable they are. Its sad that a person with real potential has to be so worthless. If they would spend more time with their pets and their toys instead of boring others with such nonsense when they play with their computer we would all have a better resource for legitimate help. And by and large (that means mostly, but not all - if the foo shits... er, I mean if the shoe fits, etc.), these members are called "Guest"

It is true, In the electrical section are the same. They throw in a question and ask for help/answer but when we need to have more information there will be no reply from them.

I don't understand why they don't register with CR4. It free.

I agree that there should be some way to track participantes so as information thet requested can be obtained by them. I find this site informative and helpful, it would be a shame if by misuse it became obsolete.

We are respect personal anonymity for all members, its personal issue. No body asks questioner who or where you are. Whether he subscripts as guest or with original name. I ask about continuity between questioner and other members.

For questioner I said. You should know that this forum return with great benefits for all members, not only you. Answering for you question has too much utilities for me.

May I have similar problem or may I need to gain some more information's or experience in scope of your question. Please don't open my appetite and leaving me hungry for your answer .

Sir:

One reason not mentioned is internet transmission problems. I left a few very good people who were trying to help me "hanging" when for better than a month I couldn't get through. I could usually connect but be almost instantly cut off, which was blamed on a "server " someplace. I had contacted the CR4 folks and was assured that they hadn't cut me off. It works now (obviously).

I blamed it on the "HOMELAND SECURITY" folks, but am not sure. My car has also have been stopped on the road and "checked out" but released without a ticket 3 times. This is unusual here, as in the past the police either seem to give you a ticket or don't bother you.

I had been cut off from another engineering website at the same time.

Hello bill michaels,

Yes this could be a reason for an OP not getting back within a few days. However, I have searched for an answer to a question only to find that same questioner has asked the very same question on other help sites I was taken to, and those people on the whole are the ones whom never return. Which is not good etiquette.

KAIRY AISH,

*What the problem/lack of continuity you are referring may be due to the following reasons.

*The questioners might be having a mindset and expect answers closer to his view point.

*The problem being referred would have already got solved and is of interest no more to him.

*Other than CR4 somebody else could have solved it.

*One thing worth about is the sharing of view points and experience from others in connection to issues, makes it like a open group discussion and sharing mutual knowledge.and freindly educations

*The other point worth is a questioner,if he gives a real feedback on how really his problem is solved, it is some thing worth for all those who were involved in the discussion. Many suggestions are not tried or a concrete solution is not reached, such grounds lead to the issue what you have referred.

*It is also due to the preciseness of the answers/solutions connected to the technical problem, poor communication from questioners can also cause that.

*In one of your earlier discussions a suggestion was given to close your swimming pool top and sides by curtains to avoid sun light UV radiations, the main cause for massive algae growth. What is your feed back?

Dear S.sudhayamarathanadan

thank you to illustrate some reasons of non feed back from questioners side.

but i thought we have the right to no whether questioner issue has solved or not .

this to revise our comments or to correct some mistakes which we may fall in .finally we will all gain the expected utility for this forum.also it will encourage all to share with their ideas.

we will be glade if any problem solved through our forum , and more if we know how it done .

for my previous post ( how to eliminate alga from swimming pool ) , i return back for this post i found seven posts for me for the same topic , it means i reply for most contributors, for your suggestion it was practically difficult to apply . it will cost too much to cover 25X15 meter pool.

thank you again for your contribution

Hello khairy Aish,

Your question is pertinent for it can be frustrating to spend hours or days looking for details, only to get no response from the OP (Original Poster).

I think there should be some changes to the details people leave for their ref'.

At least a Country where the item requested item will be used. And possibly only Members should be asking any questions. That way there will always be recall to questioners not replying. After all, a 'thank you' is the very least a member should be expected in response. Anything less in my opinion is just rude.

Perhaps if the gatekeepers at CR4 eliminated the title of guest and substituted "fool who won't reveal himself" or "anonymous loser" they would be less inclined to hide.
