Location of Isolation Flange on Pipeline

06/01/2009 5:44 AM

Dear all!

Appreciate if some one could give an advice on this: normally, Isolation Flange (IF) will be installed at the first flange of pipeline connected to metering skid. If i install IF after a emergency shutdown valve just incase of mainternance for IF, i need not to discharge all natural gas in the whole pipeline. Is it any bad impact to the CP system of the pipeline if i install the IF as above or against code/standard. Is there any code/standard, or reference guideline on this? I've read DNV-RP-B401, NACE-RP-0286-2002, and NACE-RP-0169-2002, but not as particular case as this.

Thank you very much for your valuable input.

Howard

Hi!

Thank you for your feedback, and really sorry that made you not understand. I don't know where i can attach to you the drawing , so i save it into jpg format which is not very clear view. Please see in the piping arrangement for the location of IF. Or if you have email address so that i could send it through your email

Hope that i could receive your value input again. Thank you very much.
