Problems Soldering Copper Caps to Copper Tubing

Hi all, we have a product that soldering a copper cap to a copper tube using Sn97-Ag3. our customer need remove this cap. Some of cap could not removing from the copper tube even heated to the copper tube melted. I could not find the rootcause?

We soldering the cap by induction, the joint clearance is about 0.1mm and heating time is about 10s.

Cu+Sn= Bronze and that has its own melting point depending on the constituent at where it has formed (and may reach higher than Cu - 1083oC)

The SnAg solder you are using is a well understood lead free solder with a melting temperature of about 221C. Make sure that both you and your customer don't heat the joint to over about 250C when soldering or un-soldering to avoid metallurgical reactions with the copper. Your joint clearance is okay and you should be using a suitable solder flux.
