How to calculate dg set for 868 kw load.

Diesel generator (ie Diesle Engine +generator coupled as a set)

You have the load, pf, calculate the KVA (looks to be of MVA rather than KVA) and you will get the generator rating. The KW is of course directly converted to the Engine power.

Then based on the load type (eg for motor starting current, you don't want the engine to splutter ?) take these into consideration - based on individual loads, definitely you are not going to use alll of your 900KW for a single motor? they do balance out.

Then select the set.

Take care of future expansion plans too.

go to http://www.automation.siemens.com/MCMS/ELECTRICAL-DESIGN-SOFTWARE and download the software then you can design LV dg.

Why come to CR4? The correct place to go is the <...dg set...> manufacturers directly, surely? Telephone?
