Protective Relays for Synchronous Generators Running in Parallel

06/10/2009 11:14 PM

Hi Guys.

Would like to know in detail the different protective relay system for synchronous generators operating in parallel.

I know that there is the Cross Current Compensation system, the differential current fault relay system and the overcurrent/earth fault protection system.

I am aware that there are other protection system too.

Greatly appreciate if anyone of you could furnish me with a detailed explanation of the other protection systems

Thanks a thousand !

how about starting by looking at the specs of the engineered build. also checking to see if there are any inputs to your PLC in the switchgear
