Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

12/02/2006 10:21 AM

I'm a researcher and I'm involved in the application of the LCA methodology in industries.

LCA study provides information on the hot environmental spot in product lifecycle and helps the designer to improve quality but many designer doesn't know it and don't use it.

I would like to begin a discussion on the possible application of LCA in mechanical design and its usefulness.

It depends on the industry. The gear and bearing manufacturers live and breathe that topic.
