Having been exposed to hot brass stamping, and referring to the ASM handbook Volume 4 'forging and forming, it would be seen that the thumb rule to select the tonnage of press for hot brass forging for simple components (as yours) is 40 tonnes per square inch of projected area of the forging. This value is revised upwards in the event of thicker and cored forgings. In your case, the value of 40 tonnes per square inch of projected area should work.
