Voltage Detectors and Audio Alarms

My question is, i want to design and build a voltage detector to sound audio alarm and also display using a 7 segment diode

i will be happy if circuit diagrams are attarched

If you're trying to make a Do-it-yourself voltmeter...I know there are lots of tutorials for this sort of thing no webpages dedicated to small integrated circuits. I have done it using a combination of a PIC microcontroller and the Mikrobasic cross compiler that turns Basic into the machine code needed to program the chip. A programmer is needed to burn the program to the chip.

If it is any voltage above 1000Volts, then I could help you; even if you'd like to measure impulses, sine or harmonic voltages on power lines etc. (any voltage)

He said he wants to detect voltage not measure it, or does he...

By implication of the use of "7-segment", it seems that he wants to see some numbers, rather than ONE LED... although he did use "detect" as well.

I agree John, posters could be clearer.
