Gas Pollution and Effluent Treatment

06/26/2009 4:00 PM

Please i need a guide on how to solve the problem of gas pollution in the Petrochemical Plant complex, especially in the Effuent Treatment Plant. This is a Health Hazard to Staff and Process Engineers. The liquid, solid and Gaseous Effluents are Hazardous as they give unhelthy chemical smells. Treatment at Source seems not to yield any meaningful result. Thanks. Engr. George from Nigeria.

What are the reagents you are using in the air scrubber? Also, you may be using too little reagent or possibly you may need to replace the scrubber water more frequently. Without more details it would be almost impossible to give you better advice.

I would say, Better Ventilation... Big fans blowing in from one side and forced out of the other.
