What do you want to measure?

  • Pressure
  • Flow rate
  • Temperature
  • Chemical composition
  • Refractive index
  • ... ?

Please be more specific.

It would be interesting to know if there is a method/process to measure flowrate and pressure from outside.

Try searching the 'net for "ultrasonic flowmeter"

Can ultrasonic flowmeters be used to measure gas flow?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultrasonic_flow_meter

The first sentence reads: "An ultrasonic flow meter measures the velocity of a liquid or gas through a pipe using ultrasonic transducers."

I realize one shouldn't take everything in Wikipedia as gospel, but I think (hope?) this one's correct .

It may be easier to monitor compressor power and pressure and estimate the flow with your compressors performance specifications or you can use generic ones.

I have not had very good luck getting accurate results with ultrasonic flowmeters.
