electrode for fuel pipe

Hi guys! What is the best electrode in welding for diesel fuel tank and pipe in conformity to the AWS standard. Thanks

Diesel fuel tanks are, in general, made of low carbon steel. I agree 7018 would fit well. 6013 would be another choice. Not a critical aplication at all.

One might reasonably assume that this <...diesel fuel tank and pipe...> is made of some sort of metal, right? It's not inconceivable that it is made of other materials.

So, select the same metal as that of the pipe and the tank.

Brazing might also work.

So might soldering.
