The only safe way is to replace the motor.

Was the motor previously running too hot? Too high a mechanical load? Loss of a phase?

If you cannot answer either question, you need to monitor the replacement motor to see what happens to it under various conditions.....

Hmm. I think that replacing the motor won't fix your drive, don't listen to the snake oil vendor.

Your drive is already damaged and only replacing the power stage (IGBT module) will probably give it a new lease of life.

Now, the most common reason (for this and for other motor drives like servos, stepping motor drives or 3 ph VFDs wich use "push-pull" output transistors) is disconnecting the motor when energized, using a contactor from the drive's output to the motor leads, and also, have a servo system very poorly tunned, that is always resonating due to misadjusted position, following and feedforward gains. look also for too abrupt accel/decel ramps.

I didn't mention an oversized load because it is common sense to take the drive and motor's rating into account before integrating the system, right?.

Your questions:-

What is IGBT ? = Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor I believe....

What is its fullform? = From me no idea unless its something to do with Cables/wiring...

Why Servo Drive is also called servo amplifier? = Never was in my book, they are two seperate things that might be built into the same servo.....

Is it advisable to have Servo Stabiliser? = Sorry, I have no idea what is meant here though I did find a manufacturer in India.....

If it is different then what is difference between servo drive and servo amplifier?

Is anybody there to tell me need for servo stabiliser.

Servo drive is for me the motor/mechanical bits.

Servo amplifier for me is the electronics concerned with the feedback and drive signals.......

All open to critique of course.......

I was unable to find a satisfactory explanation of what that was.....I personally have never heard of the description.....I believe I said something similar earlier.......sorry.

Hopefully someone else will be better and able in filling this glaring hole of knowledge (or better said lack of...!)
