Hello - no need to do this, I think if you would perform a search for Mnaufacturers of "In-Line Barcode and Label Scanners" you will find what you need after you perform your RFI and requirments within.

Please go here first - GlobalSpec found here: http://www.globalspec.com/

Also here is a link to some generic in-line aplications: http://www.marktecprods.com/laser_printers.php

Alibaba may also have some resources for you

Even if you do not print codes - laser scanners will be able to detect missing / improper labels and you can quarantine the carton

Best Of Luck

Hello AR,

I do not know which Country you are in or what Country you would buy from. However, here is a search which may help, see below.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en-gb&q=in-line+label+and+taped+box+detection+scanner&btnG=Search

As has been mentioned this can be scanned by an 'in-line label scanner' which can also give details of how many products are finished and complete, and how many went through without either Label/s or Securing Tape".

But with a little lateral thinking......................you will need someone to load the products to be boxed, and can you not use the same person/s to 're-tape' and or, -re-label' the boxes which need it?

Bear in mind you will need to put the 'correct barcode info'' on any boxes which are missed, if that is, the boxed product bar codes include details of the date, line, and or person etc, responsible for loading the machine.

I would think it easier to sort out any missed labelled and un-taped boxes, if only general item contents and date are on the label. It will get too complicated otherwise, trying to match any sequential numbers for instance?

Hello Arun

There are many reputed Sersor Manufacturer will help you to solve your problem.I'm very much sure that you can use Allen Bradly Self-teach sensor ( 42FT -series) , it will give you signal when it detects'' no lable'' .Still there are Keyence from Japan, Turck&Banner and Omran .

Can you attach optical or laser based sensor and ask some one to write software for sensing what you want to document and if not detected have default m/c to stop.

in my last job we used a vision sensor to detect the presens of the label.

check the next providers: cognext, omron, banner and many others.

the system consist in a camera to take a picture and compare with a model picture.

if the photos are not equals, the procesor active a contactor or one out signal.

Dear all,

I am also facing similar kind of problem.

But its a printing machine for cartons.

I made it high speed but its make me more difficult to print because now there is no gap in between cartons

Before high speed there was a gap in between cartons that gap is getting sensed by sensor.

But now there is no gap in between cartons.

Please guide me.

Sandeep,

Just slow the machine down!!!

You are lucky the machine still accepts the thick boxes at such a high speed.

The only way is perhaps to get some white tape and stick it along the edge of each box, so the machine 'sees' the tape as a 'gap'?

I have done this only twice and had to get a whole pile of boxes ready before starting to feed them through the printer.

Hope this helps......................
