Looking for a Website Compare All Light Switch Brands in North America

07/15/2009 4:49 AM

Hello everyone, I have been searching for the right light switches for my new home, the current type it came with just terrible. I have tried to compare different brand in all related sites, but I'm hoping to find the "ONE" site will could show a compare cart included information about: company name, light switch type, user commons. There seem so much information everywhere, and I'm start getting real frustrated. If there is any good suggestion, I will be really really appreciated.

Thanks for reading, cheers...

So what type of switches are you having so much trouble with?

Are you buying those 49 cent ones my grandpa buys because cost is more important than quality?

I only use the 20 amp commercial rated units myself and they do cost about 8 times as much but they have yet to fail in any aplication I have put them in.

Even the ones in my shop that switch four 400 watt metal halide lights and they have been in service for around 7 years!

Grandpa taught me a lesson about getting what you pay for by his own bad example! Too bad he still has not learned.

I love your grandpa example, and nono, I didn't buy those 49 cents switches. those switches comes with the house we have, not sure how much the contractor spend on those things. I found it inconvenience cause we have lots of lighting in the house with too many one ganged switches everywhere. I am looking for a set of switches comes with 4 to 6 ganged. I don't see it anywhere else in north america store, only in taiwan so far.

You're looking at the wrong end

The 4 and 6 gang wall plates cover the 4 to 6 individual switches attached to the 4 to 6 gang switch enclosures within the wall cavity.

2 - gang 3 - gang 4 - gang

Use them individually or daisy-chain. The first and second from the right have clip retainers for remodeling projects and the third is for installation prior to wallboard. If you can't find the product chances are the electrical code prohibits.
