Thyristor Resistance

07/23/2009 9:31 PM

What is the good value of Ohms, reading by Multimeter for Anode - Cathode, and also for Cathode - Anode?.

Because same type Thyristor will have different Ohm value reading.

Thanks,

Zentrum

Resistance changes with pressure on the wafer, so un-clamped, a hockey-puck style SCR will give you a meaningless ohmic value.

The only ways to check your Thyristor is whether it is good or not, is by having different Ohm values on Anode – Cathode and Cathode – Anode. If both side having the same Ohm values, that means your Thyristor is kaput.

Thyristor Ohm values are different with different manufacture and types because of their performance and each of the device are different.
