	i m mechanical engineering student n need some help in project i hve selected project on designing of mechanical staircase system in order to transfer load , i need some help in how to proceed in this project and what other purposes we can use this project( except for climbing stairs..)??????????

	i actually dont want to use this concept for walking purpose but for some other purpose like transporting load( like mechanical stair load transporter where three gears aligned in triangular form r used for motion with help of gear), if u can plz give me some other ideas where i can use this concept or modify it????????

	What exactly is your application i.e. what is your load? What do you want to transport? An escalator is a form of conveyor used to transport people from one level to another. Exactly how to design a conveyor is dependent on several factors such as the nature of the load, which will determine the type of transport carriage use (e.g. steps for an escalator or buckets for liquids or powders), the maximum design laden weight, which will determine mechanical component sizing, the direction of travel (i.e. vertically, horizontally or diagonally) etc. Please either provide such information so that we can better advise you or provide a sketch of what you have in mind so that we can help you to analyze your design. __________________ If only you knew the power of the Dark Side of the Force

	my project application is not transporting people but to transport any other form of load ,escalator basically transport people my project involves same concept but in a different way like it itself will move from one place to another in order to transport load and if obstacle occurs in way like stairs it needs to overcome it by climbing it Now m trying to use three gear in triangular form one at start and one at end driven by motor for motion , but problem is when its climbing diagnolly (for eg stairs) how do i maintain plate carrying load horizontal ,if u can help plz provide me some ideas...........

	hi brendan4.... am new here..... am interested about your project, it's a good idea......rather than only transferring loads.....I think it also useful to people whom live at apartment houses.... your idea can also be useful to unload the rubbish from all the apartment....
