Autodesk Not 23dd Compatible

07/25/2009 11:44 PM

I am a computer drafting and design student, and I have installed autudesk 3d max on my compaq pc. Now the program won't open up on my system because it says my system is not 23dd compatible. What the heck does this mean?

Re: 3d max install

Never heard of a "23dd" issue with 3DSMax...

Only problems I am aware of with regard to a clean install and problem free run with 3DS Max are:

1) Valid license,

2) Updated/current version of Active X

3) 3D video card issues (mainly "Direct Draw"),

4) OS of choice is compatible with version of Max in use,

5) Memory issues (lack of) or corrupt CPU and/or DDR

....you are using a Compaq to run Autodesk, is in my view a problem in itself. I recommend you use a custom built computer with a proper AGP 3D Video Card, Processor and Memory...combined with a seperate Hard Drive for System Cache/Virtual Memory etc and have you won't have a problem....
